Psychotherapy

Child at Psychologist

Treatment spectrum

Psychotherapy can help if a child or young person suffers from persistent symptoms that have psychological causes. Mental disorders show up through mental or physical symptoms or in interpersonal problems. They are something everyday and can happen to anyone. If your child or you should be affected, do not hesitate to contact us without obligation.

Contact :

Please contact me by phone, email or using the contact form on this website. I will answer you as soon as possible, at the latest within five working days, in order to arrange an appointment with you for an initial consultation.

Initial discussion and probatory:

We have up to 6 sessions available for this. Together we will prepare a diagnostic clarification of the occasion for your presentation and clarify questions about a possible treatment, the framework conditions and options for reimbursement. At the same time, the complaints will be physically clarified by a general practitioner or specialist. Ultimately, you decide whether psychotherapeutic treatment should be initiated according to an individual treatment plan. Since psychotherapy is a medical measure that requires approval, this must be applied for from your health insurance company to cover the costs and usually requires a review by an expert. Self-payers sign a therapy contract with me.

Please bring the following documents with you to the initial interview:

  • possibly yellow examination booklet

  • possibly previous school reports

  • any existing doctor's letters

  • Any existing reports (psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, clinics, etc.)

Behavior therapy

Behavioral therapy is approved by the health insurance companies as a scientifically proven guideline procedure alongside analytical psychotherapy and psychotherapy based on depth psychology. Behavioral therapy assumes that behaviors can be learned and changed again if necessary. It is transparent and action-oriented.

Together we try to solve current problems step by step based on existing strengths. As a licensed (ie with state treatment permit) child and adolescent psychotherapist, I am obliged to observe medical confidentiality. Data protection and anonymity are guaranteed.

Kids Playing Outside

Psychotherapy starts at all levels of experience and behavior:

Thinking Man

THINK

In conversation with the therapist, you put thought patterns that have stood in your way to the test.

You develop perspectives that help you to look at things more confidently and hopefully and to deal better with yourself and others.

Love

FEEL

In the course of therapy you will find better access to your feelings.

You will learn to cope well with stressful feelings such as fear, tension, self-blame, and anger, and to pay more attention to positive feelings such as joy, relief, and self-care.

Bow & Arrow

ACT

Recurring patterns are observed, interrupted and varied. You expand your repertoire of actions for everyday and difficult situations.

In doing so, you will try out new behaviors or do more of the helpful things that you may have neglected recently.
